Regalo del Mar vacation in is immersed in a beautiful small fishing village of Troncones. There are numerous activities surrounding these tranquil and uncrowded beaches. You can start the day with taking a swim in a white sand and warm water beach, then go on horseback riding, have lunch on any of a dozen excellent mexican restaurants and try form regular to very "picante" exquisite local dishes.

After a proper "siesta" you can go surfing or go on a Eco friendly local tour. Regalo del mar mixed with the beautiful, relaxed and entreating natural surroundings and activities will make sure you'll mis us back home.

Most visitors who choose Playa Troncones, Mexico for their holidays do so because their lives back home are filled with long hours in their professions, often accompanied by substantial stress. Therefore, when they arrive at their vacation rental in Troncones, they often are seeking relaxation, comfortable accommodation, warm sunshine and good food, either prepared themselves in our superb kitchen , or at one of the approximately one dozen excellent restaurants nearby along the 5 mile-long white sand Troncones beach.

When we asked one of our guests what activities they enjoyed most during their stay in their Playa Troncones vacation rental, this was their reply:

Beaches/Sun Tanning/Walks

The appeal of the beaches in Playa Troncones is that they are clean, safe and, most importantly, not crowded. You can suntan in relative isolation, go for walks with someone very special, or just float around in out magnificent pool. You can often see whales and dolphins swimming and jumping along the tidal pools in front of your vacation rental. Sea turtles also frequent our beaches to lay their eggs which are usually placed in protected areas to incubate until they hatch. The hatchlings are sometimes raised in small tubs for a few weeks to give them a better survival rate before being released. One more thing...the sunsets from our vacation rentals are astonishing....

Swimming

One difference you will notice when you swim in our Troncones ocean, compared with Mazantlan, PV, or even Cancun; the water temperatures are several degrees warmer here ----you don’t have to hold your breath until you get wet. Although the beaches are shallow in Troncones…..you can go out over 100 feet and still be below your waist, you should use caution since in Troncones occasionally we have rip tides.

Bird Watching

There is a great variety of birds to see walking along this Troncones beach, up into the hills or even from your breakfast table in the vacation rental as they come for a drink and bath in our pool. Join a walking tour with local ornithologists...

Surfing

The Playa Troncones area boasts many great surf spots known to surfers worldwide. The great thing about this variety is there’s good surfing somewhere along the coast in every season. If you intend to surf, it is advisable to obtain a rental car to access the best spots. Surfing includes the wide open Playa Troncones, Punta Troncones that begins Playa Manzanillo, and easy access to Playa Majahua and the mouth of Rio Lagunillas. Another wide open surfing beach area is at Saladitas, about 40 minutes drive north from playa Troncones.

Fishing

There is great fishing near playa Troncones. You can go to the little fishing village of Majahua (2 miles north) and hire one of the local fishermen, cast off the beach in front of us, or arrange for one of the many charters out of Zihuatahejo. Depending on the time of year, Marlin, Dorado, Rooster fish, Pacific Blue Sail Fish and Tuna!.

Horseback Riding

How about a leisurely ride along the 5 miles stretch of beach in front of us? For approximately $20 per hour, you can choose a rental horse that matches your riding skill.

Boogie Boarding

Our waves are absolutely perfect for boogie boarding. We supply rental boards for you and you will have so much fun -----and you don’t even have to go out very far to get long, long, fantastic rides!horse that matches your riding skill.

Scuba Diving

Can be booked for you in Zihuatanejo. Diving tours, instruction and certification by NAUI certified divers. Offering quick non-certificate courses for first-timers and novices, perfect for tourists, with all gear provided, as well as classes for beginners.lse in the Pacific Ocean, our reefs offer an amazing variety of underwater life. You will find a variety of beautiful species from sea horses, crabs, octopus, eels, morays, stingrays, electric rays, starfish, urchins and lobsters to all kinds of fishes such as stone trumpet, puffer, drum, angelfish, needlefish, spadefish, to name a few. On a lucky day you might see an eagle ray or a big manta ray.
