Yes, we have beautiful fullsize bathrooms with hot showers.
Do you recommend renting a car during our stay in Troncones?
Only if you are a surfer. The best surfing is about 3 - 4 miles away, so a car is useful. Otherwise, you can walk to most places in the village, plus there are 3 taxi companies in Troncones to transport you up and down the beach.
How far are you from the airport?
We are about 40 km (25 miles) from the airport. It is about 40 minutes away, by taxi.
Can you get taxis from Troncones to Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo?
Yes, you can. There are 3 taxi companies and the fare is approximately 250 – 300 pesos ($25 - $30) each way.
Where do you get groceries?
Although you can buy the basics in Troncones (bread, milk, some vegetables), we recommend that you do most of your grocery shopping in Zihuatanejo.
Can we get someone to cook for us?
You have the use of a complete kitchen, but we have no one who can cook for you. We have an arrangement with one of the best local Mexican restaurants, where they will provide all meals for you in our dining room at the same reasonable price you would pay there. Highly recommended...
Can we pay by credit card?
Yes, and there is no extra charge for that service.
How much money should we exchange at the bank?
We recommend that you stop in Zihuatanejo (either at the airport or supermarket) and exchange 3000 – 4000 ($300 - $400) pesos per week, if you intend on shopping or eating in local restaurants.
Can we use American dollars in Troncones?
Generally, no. One or two restaurants may do an exchange for you. Bring pesos.
Where can we find a bank machine?
Not in Troncones. There are plenty of ATM's in Zihuatanejo and Ixtapa.
Do you give discount for longer stays?
Yes, if you stay longer than the normal two weeks, we give a 10% discount on any nights over that time.
Do we need to bring our own drinking water?
No. We supply all purified water for you, at no cost.
Are there restaurants close by?
There are approximately 12 restaurants in Troncones, many within walking distance.
What is the temperature during the winter months?I
t is very comfortable —— 29* - 30*C ( 86* - 89*F) during the day, cooling down to a comfortable level in the evening. You do not need AC or sweaters.
Do your prices include all taxes?
Yes, unlike many places, we do not charge you extra for a tourist tax.
Can we take a bus to Zihuatanejo?
Yes. It is quite easy and inexpensive.
Do you have air conditioned rooms?
Yes, we have one room with AC, but it is rarely turned on.
Can we use the kitchen?
Yes, by all means. That is the beauty of not being dependent on a restaurant, if you don't feel like going out.
Can we rent boogie boards or mountain bikes?
Yes, we provide both, at no cost to you.
Your rooms look beautiful, but also very open. Are mosquitos a problem?
Mosquitos are rarely seen here. We have mosquito nets that we can hang over any bed, but they have not been requested in 3 years.
Do we have access to the internet?
Yes, we have high speed wireless internet service.....all complimentary.
How far should we book in advance?
For Christmas, we recommend about one year in advance. For the rest of the winter, as soon as you decide. November, January and February are often booked 6 – 8 months in advance. During the summer months, you can usually find accommodation by booking a few weeks in advance.
Do you take traveller's checks?
Yes, we do.

We provide only the best fresh roasted coffee every morning. The rest is up to you!
